Privacy Policy

Meadows is a private place to keep the people in your life. Everything you put into it stays on your phone. We don't run servers for the app, you don't make an account, and we never see your meadow.

What the app stores

The people you plant, the memories you write or say about them, and the state of your meadow (where flowers stand and how much water they have) are stored in a database on your device. None of it is sent to us or to anyone else.

How your memories are processed

• Sorting memories. Working out who a memory is about and how it feels is done on your device with Apple Intelligence. The text doesn't leave your phone for this.
• Dictation. If you speak a memory instead of typing it, the app uses Apple's speech recognition. Depending on your device and language, Apple may process the audio on its servers to turn it into text. That is covered by Apple's privacy policy. We never receive the audio or the text.

Permissions

• Microphone and speech recognition: only while you're dictating a memory.
• Notifications: reminders that a flower needs watering. They are scheduled on your phone; no push server is involved.
• Photos: the app doesn't access your photo library. iOS asks apps to declare it because of code in a system library the app includes.

What we don't do

No analytics, advertising, tracking or third-party SDKs that collect data in the app. We don't sell or share any data, because we don't have any.

Backups and deleting your data

Your meadow may be included in your device's iCloud or computer backups, depending on your settings. Deleting the app deletes your meadow from the phone. Restarting a meadow after your flower runs dry also deletes the people and memories in it.

Children

Meadows isn't directed at children under 13.

This site uses Vercel Web Analytics, which counts page visits without cookies and without identifying you.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date.
